We are the large blue building on the north side of the Wairoa township bridge. This site was once part of a large double pā called Upoko-Kotea. This pā was at one time controlled by two brothers named Kiore and Karoro. As our premises sits on part of the pa controlled by Karoro our building has been painted karoro-blue in his memory.
